Job Description

About:

Best-selling American author based in Rome is seeking a Social Media Manager to join her team and work on various branding projects (online and offline).

Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of social media marketing programs and optimization based on copy, creative, and placement.
3+ years of experience with hands-on management of business-focused social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. Applicants must understand the unique requirements of each channel and be able to maintain the author’s brand voice in each.
Experience with variety of technology in support of social media such as Hootsuite.
Create engaging content on author’s brand site/blog both in English & Italian.
Familiarity with WordPress.
Basic understanding of SEO.
English fluency or native speaker.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in English (Italian a plus)
Email marketing experience a plus.
The ideal candidate will have:

BS/BA degree in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field and/or equivalent experience
Good understanding of front-end metrics across social media platforms
Talented writer – must be able to show writing samples
Ability to act autonomously and self-manage
Examples of successful social media campaigns a big plus
A passion for storytelling.
Start Date: January 2018

Location: Rome, Italy (remote candidates will be considered as well)
